Mystery Of Gender: What Makes Us Male Or Female?

Gender is a fairly neutral word in this world. We look at gender as the person that we are.

Basically it is the deciding fact as to whether we are male or female.

Well that line has become blurred to a certain extent and many people are looking for ways to make things happen no matter what the outcome.

As part of governmental situation there is only two genders, male and female. The description of each is a long and drawn out policy full of political double talk and legal speak that hardly anyone can understand.

So we come to an area of our lives where we see that some people do not agree with this type of thing. They believe themselves to be something completely different when in light they fit the legal term for one or the other but not both.

This is most often referred to as being transgender. The term transgender means more than one gender as a simple definition. Now that may sound like something that is not possible but it is and has been an issue for quite a long time even though it has been veiled in certain closed door sessions.

A transgender person is confused according to research. They have the sexual parts or organs of one gender but their brain is telling them that they are the opposite gender. Now this does not mean that the person is homosexual.

That is a completely different can of worms. Transgender individuals generally do not consider themselves to be homosexual because they are attracted to the opposite sex of what their brain is telling them they should be.

So if a female parts transgender is attracted to women it is the brain of that person telling them they are supposed to be male. So in their mind they are not gay or homosexual but simply following what their body is telling them.

Now the big stink of the whole deal is that transgender individuals want the right to portray themselves as the gender they perceive themselves to be. So a male whose brain says he is female wants the right to dress as a female and get all the rights that a female does.

He also wants the right to be able to mark female when the forms that he may fill out calls for a gender. Transgender people are of the camp that stipulate that gender is simply a state of mind. Now the government in many cases is not buying it.

They are stating that according to scientific research and studies the gender of a person is determined inside the womb and therefore is not a state of mind. Well that has raised a lot of questions.

Recent studies have proven that a transgender person actually believes themselves to be the opposite sex. This was proven through a series of tests that measured brain waves and so on for truthful nature of the answers.

New laws are being enacted that are asking for tolerance of the transgender. This is a good time for people to sit back and think about the facts. If they were in the person's shoes what would they do?
